Cooking or cookery is the art, technology and craft of preparing food for consumption with the use of heat. Cooking techniques and ingredients vary widely across the world, from grilling food over an open fire to using electric stoves, to baking in various types of ovens, reflecting unique environmental, economic, and cultural traditions and trends. The ways or types of cooking also depend on the skill and type of training an individual cook has. Cooking is done both by people in their own dwellings and by professional cooks and chefs in restaurants and other food establishments. Cooking can also occur through chemical reactions without the presence of heat, most notably with ceviche, a traditional South American dish where fish is cooked with the acids in lemon or lime juice.

 

Classes, Prices and Qualifications

 

Culinary Classes

 

The average class will consist of 1-3 dishes based on difficulty and availability of ingredients. Classes are broken into two categories: 

Demonstration: The prep and cooking of the dishes will be demonstrated. Students are given list and quantity of ingredients and method of cooking. Taking notes is recommended. Demonstrations usually run an hour to an hour and half. 

Full Class: The prep and cooking of the dishes will be demonstrated. Students are given the list and quantity of ingredients and method of cooking. After which, the student will make the demonstrated dishes with guidance of the chef. Full classes usually run 3 hours. 

 

Private

Demonstration Price starting at $75 CAD *pending on ingredient costs

Full Class Price starting at $150 CAD *Pending on ingredient costs 

For people who want to improve their culinary abilities. 

 

Small Group

Small Group Demonstration price starting at $50 CAD per person *pending on ingredient cost

Full group Class Price starting at $80 CAD per person *Pending on ingredient cost

For a small group of 3-4 people who want to improve their culinary abilities.

 

Private Dinner

$80 CAD per person + grocery cost

Graduated with Le Grand Diploma Professional in Culinary and Pastry from Le Cordon Bleu. And working as the culinary teacher of Elite Fitness and Unit 27 "Operation Transformation"
